This year, many people lost their lives due to coronavirus. Covid 19 has not only impacted almost all the businesses but the academic institutions too. But for the upcoming year, things will be a bit different. The Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has announced that board exams won’t be conducted till February 2021.

    Discussions held for the exam

In the past few days, various discussions are held to decide the pattern, mode and date for the board exams. Several teachers, students and ministers shared their views and concerns regarding the board exams. The Union Education Minister said that the board exams will be conducted in offline mode only but the final schedule will be released after February 2021. He also mentioned the reason for conducting the exams offline. The reasons are: ‘ If the students get promoted without the conduction of exams, they will face a lot of trouble in the future while getting jobs and colleges’, ‘All students might not have a good internet connection and laptops in their home so it’s not possible to conduct online exams’.

    Syllabus and more

Earlier, due to the changed study mode, the educational department had instructed to reduce the syllables by 30%. Porkhiyal has also announced that students will be getting 33% internal choices in the exams. He also mentioned that over 4.80 lakh teachers had been trained to conduct online classes for students.
