*Time when this glacier failed the plans of India & US*

The ascent of Nanda Devi was not allowed for about 13 years I.e 1960-73. The reason was that US and India tried to install a nuclear power telemetry relay listening device with the Indian government. They got failed to get information about China’s missile program here. So, this glacier was opened back in 1974. Now people go here for tracking.
You will be shocked to know that the ascent of Nanda Devi is considered most difficult. The total height of this peak is 25,643 feet. Many species of animals live here. The Nanda Devi peak is worshiped like the goddess of Uttarakhand. Religious trips also take place every year.
