Indian Players insulted on the basis of their color; Kohli, Tendulkar reacts

    3rd test match between Australia and India is going on in Sydney. It commenced on 6 January 2021. Usually, people remember a match because of the player’s performance.
    But this time something unexpected happened on the ground. Some Australian players are breaking records whereas the crowd is busy in judging people on the basis of their colour.

    Virat Kohli reacts

    On Saturday and Sunday, Siraj and senior bowler Jasprit Bumrah were subjected to multiple abuses. These abuses included racist slurs like “Brown Dog” and “Big Monkey”, which led to eviction and subsequent arrest of six Australian spectators. Virat Kohli didn’t go to play but it seems like he is supporting his team from his home itself. He showed his affection for team India as well as for the norms of Cricket.

    Many other players like Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh, Monty Panesar shared their concern for the same. BCCI is ready to take action against the offenders to show that Racism has no place in Cricket. Cricket Board of Australia has apologised for what happened in the ground. In the tweet they wrote, ”Cricket Australia has reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy towards discriminatory behaviour in all forms following the alleged racial abuse of members of the Indian cricket squad by a section of the crowd at the SCG yesterday.” Full statement ?

    Match updates

    It was the 5th day of the test match between Australia and India. Team India somehow managed to draw the 3rd test match. Pant scored well in today’s match. He registered 97 runs, which consisted of 12 fours and three sixes. Cheteshwar Pujara slammed 77 runs.
    The Australian Player, Steven Smith is named ‘The Man of the Match’.
