It’s fascinating how quickly anything can start trending nowadays. This time, it was our first ever Prime Minister Lt. Jawaharlal Nehru who topped the trending list charts and all it took was a single tweet from the renowned journalist, Sagarika Ghose, to wake up the Twitterati from its sleep.

It all started when PK Basu, author of the book Asia Reborn, questioned Rahul Gandhi asking, ‘why ‘per capita income of India grew much less than world average when his family ruled’.

Replying to this tweet, Congress leader Sanjay Jha shared a video portraying Rahul Gandhi as a decent and liberal person.

It was then this tweet of Sagarika Ghose that brought the Twitterati to life again.

It was then #ThankstoNehru started trending and people started piling up imaginary achievements of the first Congress PM.

Here are some of the hilarious tweets:

If you have ever wondered what does N stands for, we finally have the answer.

Still wondering why our parents taught us to thank God.

The Oscar for the best teacher goes to:

You gotta be kidding me!

 Someone said it finally…
