Students of Satna district in Madhya Pradesh will say ‘Jai Hind’ when they answer the roll call from October 1. Making this announcement on Tuesday, Madhya Pradesh School Education Minister Vijay Shah said the practice was being introduced on an experimental basis in Satna. It will be introduced in other districts later, he added.
The minister made this announcement in a divisional meeting of the academic and research staff in Chitrakoot yesterday.
“For now, this is just a suggestion. We hope they will adhere to it since it relates to patriotism,” Shah told news agency ANI.
“I have a military background; my grandfathers have been in the Army. And whenever they come to meet, they always say ‘Jai Hind’ which I think is a way of respecting your nation, and the feeling of love for your country is shown through his gesture,” Vijay Shah told the media.
Earlier, the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government in MP made Yoga as an integral part of the school curriculum in Madhya Pradesh.
