Politics in Gujarat Election is at its peak. Leaders are not sparing even a single word and a matter is carved out of every single wrong word of the opposition. It makes margin of error very less for the opposition.

Manishankar Aiyar was in the news for his controversial ‘neech’ remark on PM modi which came just after he held a dinner for some top congress leaders and Pakistan officials.

Prime Minister Modi recently alleged that Pakistan is trying to interfere in the ongoing  elections.

Modi suggested that Pakistan is trying to influence the assembly elections in Gujarat linking it to dinner that was hosted by Manishankar Aiyar.

PM Modi even went onto question why a former Pakistan army director general insisted on making Ahmed Patel, political advisor of Congress president Sonia, as the chief minister of Gujarat.

Prime Minister said “You people must have read the newspaper about the incident at Mani Shankar Aiyar’s house. It was an issue of hot debate in newspapers and media yesterday that a meeting between former Pakistan high commissioner, former minister of external affairs of Pakistan, former vice president Hamid Ansari and former PM Manmohan Singh was held at Mani Shankar Aiyar’s house. The meeting had run for three hours and the next day he called me “Neech” (low-born)”.

As an expected action Congress said that the Prime Minister’s allegations are “highly irresponsible and outrageous” and has asked for an apology from the PM. The party’s future President Rahul Gandhi said at an election rally that, “Modi-ji, this is Gujarat elections, talk a little bit about Gujarat too.”
