Kashmir Encounter: Two terrorists killed in exchange of fire in Bandipora District

In an encounter that took place on Sunday morning, two militants were killed and a police constable was martyred in Jammu & Kashmir’s Bandipora district, said the Jammu And Kashmir police.

Soon after the encounter, heavy stone pelting was reported in the area according to the news agency ANI. Police-constable Zahir Abbas was killed in the gunbattle, informed a police official.

Security forces cordoned off the Mir Mohalla village in Hajin area of the district this morning following intelligence inputs about the presence of militants there, a police official said. When the forces were conducting the searches the militants opened fire on them, triggering a gun battle, informed the police official.
