Jignesh Mewani insults the Prime Minister in a TV interview and refuses to apologize

The Gujarat Vidhan Sabha election saw many controversial statements. Baseless Remarks were made by many leaders during the campaigning and the leaders seemed to reach an all-time law as they delivered meaningless and controversial statements. It seems that there is no end to these controversies in Indian politics as Independent candidate Jignesh Mewani insulted Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a TV interview.

Jignesh Mewani said in the interview that “PM Modi is old and boring. It is the time for him to get retired and go to the Himalayas and melt his bones. It is the time for youth country to carry on the politics”

The statement is rightly creating a lot of controversies. Jignesh even did not apologize when he was asked for one in another interview on the same day.

“PM should search for an alternative apart from politics and stop fooling people,” said Jignesh.

”They were claiming they will win 150 seats but that pride has been crushed, same will happen in 2019, it is a victory for our movement. In coming days, will intensify our movement in Assembly & on streets, will also corner them in 2019.”He added

Jignesh Mewani who is a Dalit leader contested in the elections and won by a comfortable margin from Vadgam seat. Although he contested as an independent candidate he got support from Congress in the elections.
