30 children die in Yogi’s constituency

As per the reports of PTI, at least 30 children have died in the state-run Baba Raghav Das Medical College in Gorakhpur during last 30 hours. The district Magistrate was quoted by PTI as saying that 17 children died in the neo-natal ward, five in the AES (acute encephalitis syndrome) ward and eight in the general ward. Further he gave no reasons for such a large number of unprecedented deaths.

However it is speculated that these deaths occurred due to lack of oxygen in the hospital.

State health minister Siddharth Nath Singh and minister for technical and medical education Ashutosh Tandon will be visiting the hospital today after meeting Yogi Adityanath in which they are expected to brief him about the scenario.

Singh however claimed that no child died due to the shortage of oxygen. “Those behind any kind of laxity will not be spared,” he told reporters before leaving for Gorakhpur.

While the opposition resorted to petty politics and instantaneously took this grave incident as an opportunity to scoff Yogi government and declared it as a failure of this government. To this Singh replied that it is not the time to play politics.

Condolences of the Illogical Indian team are with the guardians of those children.
